Cheetahcoin Mining!

Solo CPU Mining

GPU solo mining during normal days is not profitable and may even obtain much smaller CHTA rewards compared to computer or android phone CPU mining. This is because GPUs can not compete with scrypt ASIC rigs on the Hashrate. GPUs can not mine on Cheetah difficulty either so  GPUs can not compete with computers or android phones either.

Hint: During a reset day, change to a different configuration file and then restart the Cheetahcoin wallet and allow your GPU to solo mine. When the reset is over, you can shut down your GPU solo mining and revert back to your CPU mining configuration file.

Mining on Android CPU

Android CPU miners are likely to be the only group of CPU miners that can achieve profitability even factoring in the cost of electricity. Android phone CPU solo mining uses the same software ‘Cheetah_Cpuminer’ and the ‘UserLAnd’ app. Please check out the Android phone mining guide below:

Potential operation challenges specifically for android phones:
Due to the reduced speed of Android phone arm CPU (particularly those of old phones) compared to regular x64 Intel/AMD CPUs in computers, Android phone miners might have difficulty synchronizing the wallet. Therefore they might be mining dead chain during base difficulty resets.

UserLAnd Technologies is a free and open-source ad-free compatibility layer mobile app that allows Linux distributions, computer programs, computer games and numerical computing programs to run on mobile devices without requiring a root account.

ASIC Solo & Pool Mining

Due to the dynamic difficulty nature of the Cheetah Effect Algorithm on top of SHA256, solo mining is recommended for ASIC rigs. Furthermore, a small mining pool will generate better performance than a big SHA256 mining pool because of the ASIC restriction on randomSpike.

Depending on the Hashrate of the rig, the most profitable base difficulty range is when your rig can mine at slower than 20 seconds per block. Due to randomSpike’s severe restriction, the lower difficulty is not a very profitable period for big ASIC rigs.

In general, ASIC miners are only do well when base difficulty is above 10.

There is a constant flux of available mining pools. To get the most up-to-date pools currently mining CHTA join us on our pool-side chat in discord. We hope to see you soon!

USB ASIC Solo Mining

USB ASIC’s like the GekkoScience NewPac USB Bitcoin miner are likely to be the most profitable mining rigs on Cheetahcoin. NewPac does very poorly on pool mining. However while solo mining setup on full node setup, USB ASIC can be extremely profitable when mining Cheetahcoin.

USB ASIC is an all around miner during and after a rest. On reset day, Gekko NewPac on solo mining mode was reported by one member to be able to mine up to 3 million CHTAs within one day of reset. After a reset, Gekko NewPac solo miner is also to be known to mine CHTA profitably.
